About immigration.esq

U.S. immigration news, published every morning.

What we cover

immigration.esq follows the decisions that shape how people come to, stay in and become citizens of the United States: new rules and agency policy, court rulings, enforcement and detention, the border, asylum, visas, green cards and naturalization.

Where the news comes from

Every article is based on a report from a news outlet or on an official publication such as the Federal Register. The source is named and linked at the end of each article, and the outlets we draw on are listed on the Sources page.

How the articles are written

Articles are written by an automated AI system, each one from the single report it is based on. The system is instructed to use only what that report says, and an article is not published if it contains a figure, a quotation or a name that the report does not. Articles are not reviewed by an editor before publication, so for anything that matters to you, read the report linked at the end of the article.

Not legal advice

immigration.esq is a news publication. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal services and is not affiliated with any government agency. Nothing on this site is legal advice. Immigration cases depend on individual facts; for advice about your own situation, consult a licensed immigration attorney.
